《造物的奇迹》是由知名导演Hanns Walter Kornblum 执导的一部科幻片,Margarete Schön Theodor L 等倾情出演,该片讲述了: Wunder der Schöpfung is an extraor dinary, f ascinati ng Kultu rfilm tryin g to explain the whole human k nowledge of the 1920s about th e world and the universe. 15 special effects experts an d 9 cameramen were involved in the product ion of this film which combines documentary scenes, histori cal documents, fiction eleme nts, animat ion scenes and educational impact. It it s beautiful ly color ed, using tinting and toning in a very elaborated way. Some visual ideas in the s equences w ith a space shuttle visiting different planets in the universe seem to have to be the inspiration for Stanley Kubrick';s 20 01: A Space O dyssey. In the context of Germany's Kulturf ilm phenomenon, Wunder d er Sc höpfung was amo ng the grea test achie vements of the 1920s. The producti on was construct ed, rehearsed, and shot over a period of two and a half years, un der the supervision of Hanns Wa lter Kornb lum. Th e idea to describ e the univ erse and m an 39;s place in it well suite d UFA' ;s G rossfilm me ntality, on e year before the Metropolis catastrophe. Hundred s of skilled craftsmen parti cipated in the project, building props and const ructin g sca le model s draw n by 15 special effects draught smen, while 9 cameramen i n separate units worked on the historica l, documentary, fiction, animation, and scien ce-ficti on seque nces. Without star ro les or even protagonists, the f ilm';s plot is c rowded with meticulou sly structured and sk illfully ac ted single scenes a n artful mosaic of small vignettes. No less than four credited uni versity professors ensur ed the factual background behind the s cientific and historical events po rtrayed. The film';s symbol of progress and th e new scie ntific era is a sp acecr aft, travelling through the Milk y Way, making a ll the planets and thei r inspirin g worlds familiar to us, with t he extrava ganza of their di stinctive features. The film 39;s educational intentions, however, become stead ily mo re obscure , humorous, or even campy as this po pularization pr oject proceeds. With t he excuse of pre senting the end of the world a not-so-new con cept as a new, undeni ably scientific tru th, the fi lm v eers happily along a new path , displaying deta iled apocalyptic scenes of the end of mankind. For today& #39;s audiences, this amaz ing film demons trates how the univ erse was compr ehended in the 1920s, and how that view w as sold to contempora ry audience s.
